The Alumni group of the 1989 batch, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) conducted the ENCORE awards ceremony on March 15, 2023. Students who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments during their years at the Institute were recognized and rewarded. Eighty-Nine Class Of Roorkee Endowment (ENCORE) is an endowment fund established by the IIT Roorkee graduating class of 1989 for the benefit of the Institute, its students, faculties and staff.

IIT Roorkee signed an MoU with Horiba India Pvt. Ltd, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by HORIBA India at the IIT Roorkee campus.
Under this scheme 18 UG students were awarded HORIBA Talent Hunt Scholarship 2022-23. HORIBA Talent Hunt Scholarship is a fee waiver initiative for UG Students under (EWS) category.
